Company & Mission

Building the Cognitive Outliner for the Modern Mind

TreeNote was founded on the conviction that thoughts grow organically. We build fast, keyboard-first, and local-first software that expands with your thinking.

Our Vision & Core Philosophy

Software that respects human focus and user sovereignty.

Most productivity tools start fast and slow down as your notes multiply into thousands of pages. Worse, conventional cloud services store your unencrypted thoughts in centralized databases where they are vulnerable to breaches or data mining.

TreeNote changes this dynamic. We built an outliner engine that treats typing latency as a non-negotiable metric. By storing primary data in client-side IndexedDB databases, your outline remains instant forever, whether you have 50 items or a million.

100%
Local-First Execution

Outlines operate offline with zero network dependency

<5ms
Local Search Latency

Instant query retrieval across 1,000,000+ items

99.999%
Data Durability

Multi-region encrypted backups powered by Amazon S3

Zero
Model Training Ingestion

Contractually guaranteed zero customer training

Cloud Infrastructure

Enterprise Cloud Infrastructure on AWS

While your primary documents reside locally on your machine, our multi-device synchronization and enterprise features leverage a scalable, multi-region architecture on Amazon Web Services (AWS).

AWS Serverless Compute

Event-driven synchronization powered by AWS Lambda and Amazon API Gateway. Automatically scales up to handle millions of simultaneous CRDT packet reconciliations with sub-10ms response times.

AWS Bedrock & Private AI

Enterprise AI integrations utilize Amazon Bedrock with VPC endpoints. Prompts and embeddings are executed within private network boundaries with zero public egress and zero model training.

Vector Search & S3 Vault

Encrypted snapshot backups are anchored in Amazon S3 with 99.999999999% durability and SSE-KMS hardware-level encryption, paired with vector databases for semantic query indexing.
